u-pick produce

What could be better than picking fresh, beautiful, delicious produce and taking it home to enjoy?  Krista J. says that on Highway 20 you'll see the Melon Shack.  If you take the road in front of the Melon Shack and drive down past the hazelnuts you can pick all the produce you want- tomatoes, peppers, peaches, eggplant, cantaloupe, cucumbers, squash, basil, etc.  She picked 4 bucketfuls for $14.  She thinks the produce is less than $1 per pound.

Keep your eye out for when the u-pick grape farm on 20 just north of the renovated Farm Home is ready to pick.
