My family enjoyed lunch at cafe allegro while I enjoyed a temple session.  They reported a great meal at a great price.  I'll be purchasing more Groupons for this cafe.  I believe the limit is 3 and you have 180 days to use them.  (We didn't do this but you can use 2 groupons at the same time for groups of 5 of more...which means you can pay $30 for $60 worth of food- that's A LOT of food.).  They ordered all sorts of stuff- seafood over spinach, sandwiches, pizzas and soup.  They had half a sandwich left over for me and it was really, really good.

italian lunch or dinner at cafe allegro

I'm always looking for something to do while my hubby and I swap kids at the temple.  Well I just found something!  $30 worth of food at Cafe Allegro in Tigard (4.1 miles away) for $15.  The lunch menu looks great and it looks like a place one or both of us could take the four kiddos.  I can't find a way to link the site for you without giving you all my account info or without you being able to print my groupons (you wouldn't dare...) so go to Groupon and in location find Lake Oswego.

P.S.  Last night we used our Groupon to Pita Pit in Corvallis.  It was great!  Excellent gyros.

As I was driving by Tom's Garden Center in Albany I noticed a big sign.  All in-stock trees are 40% off and pottery is 50% off.  I asked if the sale is until they are gone and was told the sale goes at least through the weekend.  I asked if they have fruit trees and she said they do.

All haircuts are $7.99 at Great Clips by the Carkmike Cinema until Friday.  When you get your haircut, your receipt will have a coupon so you can go back for another $7.99 haircut.  What a deal!

free twin bed and free bunk beds

We have a bunk bed and a twin bed that we would love to give to a good home.  The bunk bed needs one bunkie board or wood board and mattresses to be fully functional but is still in great shape.  The twin bed has a box spring included but needs a mattress. 2 events at Osborn Aquatic Center

On Labor Day from 1-4pm everyone gets into Osborn Aquatic Center for ONE DOLLAR if you aren't already a member. 

On Friday, August 30th OAC is having their Back to School Fiesta!  There will be games, prizes and family fun.  The picture on the flyer shows kids hitting a red chile pepper pinata- fun!  Regular admission prices will be in effect unless of course you're already a member.

u-pick produce

What could be better than picking fresh, beautiful, delicious produce and taking it home to enjoy?  Krista J. says that on Highway 20 you'll see the Melon Shack.  If you take the road in front of the Melon Shack and drive down past the hazelnuts you can pick all the produce you want- tomatoes, peppers, peaches, eggplant, cantaloupe, cucumbers, squash, basil, etc.  She picked 4 bucketfuls for $14.  She thinks the produce is less than $1 per pound.

Keep your eye out for when the u-pick grape farm on 20 just north of the renovated Farm Home is ready to pick.
