Corvallis Fall Festival

One of my kids is already asking about this event.  It will be held on September 27th at Central Park.  Go HERE for more information.

Free Redbox Movie

You can get a free game rental from Redbox this week.  This is advertised on their Facebook page so everyone should be able to get this freebie.
The game must be reserved on their website to get it for free.  There is no coupon code needed.  The discount will be reflected at checkout as long as it is reserved online. I tested it and it worked great.
You do need to return the game the next day to avoid any late fees.

You can stop by and celebrate their 25th anniversary by grabbing a bagel and schmear for just $.25!  What a deal!
There is a limit of one per customer and it looks like no coupon is needed.
You can always call ahead to your local store and confirm they are participating, although it does look to be nationwide.
On the West Coast it is Noah’s Bagels and on the East Coast it is called Einstein Bagels.   I don’t see anything about this from Einstein so it appears to be at Noah’s only.

Please join volunteers from around the world on July 20 and 21 for this international history-making event!

This remarkable goal will require help from every current indexer and arbitrator out there, plus many new volunteers,* but it can be achieved if generous volunteers like you commit to participate. So mark your calendar, and spread the word! Invite friends and family to join you. Organize an indexing party; create a fun family challenge or ward service project. You can print and distribute this poster to spread the word. Everyone is needed. Everyone can make a difference!

I almost forgot that Corvallis has a parade!  Free fun and you can even get candy thrown at you. ;)

All-American Anyone Can Join, Fabulous, Fantastic Fourth of July Parade:
Assemble at Central Park @ 9:30 am on 8th Street between Jefferson & Monroe.  Walkers are first in line. Vehicles are last in line. At 10 am, the  Diva sings the Star Spangled Banner at the corner of 8th & Madison Avenue, and the parade will get underway.  Parade goes east on Monroe to 1st Street, turns right (south) on 1st to Washington, turns right (west) to 2nd Street, turns left (south) on 2nd Street and proceeds to the Skate Park where parade disbands and heads down to the "Red White & Blue Riverfront Festival" then paraders can head on home (or spend the day at the Festival!).  Parade takes about 30 minutes.

fruit pectin and canning jars

I went in to Bi-Mart yesterday and grabbed some fruit pectin because boxes are 4 for $5!!!!  I have used this brand before and it's jut like the others.  They have regular and lite and I think I better go back and get more.  I also picked up some wide mouth quart jars because they have a dozen fro $7.99.  Although it's been a while since I have priced them they seemed like a good deal.
